Programs

Kindergarden "Jarun" is conducting 6 programs on daily basis: regular all-day, regular half-day, musical, lingual (english and german), Montessori and pre-school. All of the programs are verfied from the Ministry of science, education and sports.
Every program mentioned is specifical, so we advise that you read and judge for yourself which program is the best solution for your kid.

Regular all-day

This is a complete 10-hour thorough program which is conducted in 34 groups for the children from age of 1 till going to elementary school. Individual work with the children is particulary cherished. By paying respect to specifity of the kids age (constant need and receptivity for new knowledge and need for moving and fresh air), but also and the specifity of our ambience (high educational and economical strucure of parents and interest in diffirent contents), all the regular programs are enriched with sports (tennis, rolling, swimming, ice-skating), trips (in Zagreb, but outside of it also) and shows. These programs provide diffirent cognitions and adventures and are a stimulation for numerous activities in the kindergarden.

REGULAR PROGRAM WITH INTEGRATED ENGLISH LANGUAGE

There are two groups in "Jarun" kindergarden which have english language. Beside spontaneous and situational usage of english language in everyday common situations, the language is used in special planned and performed activities which have cause, defined terms and planned contents. These activities usually take no longer than an hour. Since this is regarding mixed groups, not the same accomplishment is expected from every child. The child learns the language through a game and in that way gains basic knowledge very early. The language is learned through songs and tales. Poll showed that the parents have positive reaction for (in order): educators, realisation and organisation, place and program of work. They are not pleased with age heterogenity of the group.

REGULAR PROGRAM WITH INTEGRATED GERMAN LANGUAGE

Program is conducted since 1997. There is one group containing 11 kids. The language is learned situationaly, i.e. every life situation is used for simultaneous learning of the foreign language, therefore approach is bi-lingual. Kids learn easily through game, some adequate activities and loads of picture material, audio and video tapes, etc. Work results are from time to time presented to parents on collective meetings and everyday information about what is going to happen in the kindergarden parents get via written flyers or in the parents corner. It seems important to mention that the leader of german group Snježana Vusić Kodvanj self-initiative attends constant education (practice in speech) and supervision procedure in Goethe Institute at German embassy and is a winner of stipend awarded from German goverment for one-month improvement in Germany.

REGULAR PROGRAM WITH INTEGRATED MUSICAL PROGRAM

Musical group "Zvjezdice" includes heterogen group of 20 kids age 3 to 7. Leaders of this group are Rahela Maružic and Slavica Strmo, educators with finished musical high school. The task is through everyday activities supporting and improve childrens' musical interest for every aspect music has (rhythm, singing, playing, listening, moving, creating). In the playroom we have a piano and sufficient number of percussions. We also have a synthesizer on which kids experiment with sounds, create their own music or play easy, well known songs. Big mirror with a handle allows starting dance practice and the big panel is used to show visual aspects of the music. Equipment of this group are literature, audio and video tapes, art texts, art reproductions, etc. There is special attention directed to enrichment of the program with visiting other places regarding music (Croatian National Theatre, children theatres, musical schools, museums). In the year 2007, we had a 10 year anniversary in the company of present and ex members.

REGULAR PROGRAM WITH INTEGRATED SPORTS PROGRAM

Program is conducted as a regular program with integrated sports program. It's cause is to allow every kid to reach his maximum in motoric skills and activities, according to his present development abbilities, with influence on healthy and completely growth and development of the kid. There are numerous acivities conducted in groups which improve selfconfidence. Sport activities are substantially attached to actualities in usual program, but contents for aspect of healthy life styles are also intensed. All this is arranged on regular meeting of educators, expert associates and coaches once a month. Sport practice is conducted in adequately equipped gym. Practice is takes one hour and is performed by expert coaches from Kinezioloki fakultet with the assistance of educators and supervision of dr. eljko Hraski, author of sports part of the program. Special attention is given to childrens security during the practice. For this, and other special programs, parent participate in price.

Montessori program

With our openess to needs of the kids and the parents and diffirent kinds of programs, in 1996 we organized a procedure of Montessori program according to american model. Terms for this procedure were: two years study of two educators, appropriate space (family surrounding), original Montessori material and good will form parents. We can be proud of our educators who have american, austrian and italian certificate.
